Need Help Sound Proofing a Commerical Unit

by Coffee » Thu Dec 06, 2007 1:13 am

What is the most effective and cost efficient way to sound proof a ceiling in a commerical unit (coffeehouse) to reduce noise from to the resident upstairs?

The ceiling is flat with pipes across (no drop ceiling between our ceiling and the floor upstairs). Ideally, I'd love to build or install some sort of panels, traps, etc. vs. installing a drop ceiling.

Help. Please advise.

Sincerely,
Trying to find a peaceful solution.
