Hi!
We're doing a full loft conversion with new bathroom and therefore turning our current groundfloor bathroom into a wetroom.
It's on a woodenfloor, so we don't need to raise the shower area to accomodate the pipework. So, do we actually need to tank it?
My parents also live in a bungalow and they've had a fully tiled showeroom for about 20 years, it was not tanked and they've never had a problem with leaks.
So is tanking just for 1st floor wetrooms as a safety thing?
Seems like a big expense if it's not nessacery.
Any advice would be great! Thanks in advance
Sam.
