No hot water, but after resetting the boiler ok help!!

by georgie1983 » Thu Jan 03, 2008 10:12 am

Last night my vokera combi boiler decided to play up... there was no hot water - i immediately checked the fuse and that was fine... there was a gas flow - so that's ok... however i reset the boiler waited around for a bit and then turned on the hot water and it was fine. this morning, there was no hot water, reset the boiler and was ok again - but there have been moments where it just turns itself off and there's no hot water whatsoever (but there is a gas flow, the hob works) - does anybody have any ideas as to what the fault is? anybody's assistance will be greatly appreciated - thanks - george

Abit more information is required.

Try running a tap and watch the boiler, does it go to lockout/reset when the tap is running ? - could be over heating

Do the flames cut off when the hot tap is turned off ?

Is the central heating working ok ?

What's the hot water flow rate like ? good or poor ?
