Firstly what type of boiler do you want ? a combi or system boiler ?
BG330- A Rated - Exclusive to BG
BG532 Combi Exclusive to BG
Haven't had anything to do with the above boilers. I think they are basically a glow-worm boiler, and i wouldn't have one. They're known for PCB faults.
British Gas / Baxi Duo Tech - baxi are good reliable boilers, cheap for parts and easy to work on so saves on labour costs.
British Gas / Worcester-Bosh 28iHE - Condensing Combi Boiler, worcester get a good name but are more expensive for spare parts. Worcesters I have worked on are not straight forward, parts are not easily accessible - will add to labour costs.
British Gas / Potterton Promax 15/2 HE Plus - this is a system boiler. Potterton are pretty much the same as baxi.
I would shop around though - BG might offer discount on their boilers but they're not cheap for installations. You can probably get a local CORGI heating engineer to supply and fit a boiler cheaper.
