Worcester 230 failed to ignite, the reset button is already

by uok » Mon Feb 11, 2008 6:34 pm

my Worcester 230 failed to ignite, I usually just press the overheat thermostat reset button, only this time the reset button is already down, how do I release the button, or just fix the problem?

in the past year, iv'e had a full power flush, new pump.

thanking you in anticipation

That's probably why the boiler wont work, if the reset button is stuck down the boiler will not come on. If pressing and fiddling with the reset button does not free it, then you'll probably have to change the overheat stat (this is what the button is connected to).

Boilers don't overheat for no reason, so you may need a engineer to check boiler, but it may have been a faulty overheat stat all along - and replacing may solve the problems.

Hope this helps
