RATHER THAN PLASTERBOARD OR LATHES IM USING HERAKLITH WOOD WOOL BOARDS FOR CEILINGS AS THEY CONTAIN NO CEMENT AND THEY ARE MORE INSULATING AND SOUNDPROOFING ASWELL AS BEING BREATHABLE TO ALLOW CONDENSATION TO ESCAPE FROM 200 YEAR OLD COTTAGE,HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCE OF USING THIS BOARD WITH LIME I KNOW WITH PLASTERBOARD YOU HAVE TO PUT A FINE SKIM OF GYPSUM FIRST AND BEFORE DRY LIME WITH A TOUCH OF GYPSUM I WANT TO USE JUST LIME THE TEXTURE IS QUITE OPEN ON BOARDS...I INTEND USING 3.5 HYDRAULIC LIME WITH A TOUCH OF PUTTY LIME IN EACH MIX,...5 SHARP SAND TO 2 LIME...AND FINE POSSIBLY SILICA AT 2 TO ONE ON FINISH COAT..I WOULD SPRAY WITH WATER THE NIGHT BEFORE TO ALLOW FOR SUCTION /CRACKING AS I DO ON STONE.....ANY HELP WELCOME......LOU [color=blue] :idea:
