Roof Vent

by rich65912 » Thu Mar 20, 2008 10:33 pm

Hello, could anyone help with advice on how to fit a vent through the roof for a bathroom fan extractor (unable to vent through the soffit). I have good access via a roof skylight to the area the vent is to be sited. I have seen various types of vent (Tile/slate vents, and ones that look like a mushroom connected to a pipe but not sure what they're called) but not sure how you go about fitting them. Do they require total removal of roof tiles/slates and how are they fixed in position?
Thanks for looking and if there's anything else anyone can think of please post back. All advice greatly appreciated!

you can buy a tile vent and it goes in same as a tile you have to cut your felt in to a T shape and then the vent will fit in it comes with a peace what fits on the back then your pipe will fit on to it make sure you put some tape around it.you can also get a slate one but they are more harder to fit
