Silicone sealer

I need to re-seal my new bath installed 2 months ago as the leak is now showing in the kitchen, I've had some advice about this but looking for more, whats the best silicone to use? I been advised that the clear is better and once a pigment has been added it lessons the grip.
Its an acrylic bath against 'wet board' board bonded on both sides with formica, possibly too smooth. Advice on the best way to remove and apply a new material would be appreciated as the strife is getting impatiant! It was fitted by a guy round the corner so it was all done quite cheaply and this is the only issue I have with it so I'd like to deal with it myself and make sure I don't have to do it again.
Thanks in advance
