Hi, I hope someone can help me.
We have just had our chimney swept and the plate that was fitted in the cimney with the flue through it has had to be replaced.
The new plate now has an access hatch in it so thet the chimney sweep can easily access the chimney with his brushes, the plate has been cemented in with fire cement around the edge to the brickwork and I was wondering if there is any kind of hight temparature tape or sealant that does not go hard which I could use to seal the hatch and is capable of withstanding the heat from the fire?
