hi can anyone help
we have had some alterations made to the loft space, not a full conversion
the company who did it took out some roof supports which we questioned at the time but they said that because the were fixed using round wire nails they were not load bearing
two stuts that went from front to rear rafters which you had to duck underneath and four vertical ones 2 front 2 rear have been removed all that is left is a purlin set at 90 degrees to the roof rafters from the external wall to the party wall which has bowed with weight over time now a friend says this not strong enough if we get heavy snow or high wind pls help

Sounds like they may have taken out collar ties which help to stop roof spread. You should get a structural engineer to look at it.

I would check the party wall for plumb. If the party wall is considerably off plumb, this can be dangerous. I assume it’s a load bearing wall.
