How can we get Planning Permission to Build on our 4 Acres? Information, help and advice on many architecture, self build and design problems and issues

Hi There

we live outside of the village boundary and have been told by the council that we cannot build in our garden. we have 4 acres of garden/paddocks, none of this can be seen from a public highway (not sure that makes any difference really) we have a large caravan that has been there 20+ years and a substantial garage/workshop/tackroom that has been there 30+ years, this there any way we can use this to our advantage in getting permission to build or redevelope the caravan - garage/workshop??

submit an outline planning application. if refused they will have to give the reasons why in print .then you can address them
