PLANNING BARN CONVERSION

by JONBOY » Sat Aug 01, 2009 11:44 am

Worried this morning - I have a barn which has had planning for nearly 5yrs now - RUNS OUT 8/8/09,I have done some footings done late last year and had a building regs guy up who has signed me on and told me the planning will last now.
So i was happy -but this morning a chap phoned me up who has bought a house next door asking my intentions of the barns. He told me hes been to the Council and the planning lapsed last January.

Im hoping he is wrong -cannot phone anyone -so Im getting paranoid??

If you have dug out foundations and the LABC has approved them, your planning permission is valid forever because the work has commenced.

The Planning Dept has not been updated by Building Control

hope that helps[/u]
