How can I remove screws from an old wooded door where the heads have sheared off?
Any advice gratefully received.

HN,
THIS WILL PROVE DIFFICULT TO DO WITHOUT DAMAGING THE DOOR SURFACE BUT CAN BE FILLED AND SANDED LATER.
TRY USING A LEATHER WORKER'S HOLE PUNCH AND/OR HALF ROUND WOOD CHISEL TO REMOVE A RING OF WOOD AROUND THE SHEARED SCREW SUFFICIENTLY TO ALLOW YOU TO GRIP THE SCREW WITH PLIERS OR MOLE GRIPS TO REMOVE.

you could drill them out using a quality drill bit suitable for steel. centre punch the screw first to prevent the bit from slipping.
