I have a washing machine under a kitchen worktop and need to drill a hole so that the plug can come up through the hole. But I want the piece that is cut out sit back in so the cut has to be angular
Any idea how to go about doing theis?

why not cut the plug off ,then only a small hole needs to be drilled through the worktop the same size as the cable,
rewire with a new plug.

don't forget that when cutting, all material that comes into contact with the cutter turns to sawdust. hence the piece you remove will be smaller than the hole it leaves, so it won't sit back neatly. it will sit lower and not flush.
best option is as has already been suggested.
