Skirting? What is aesthetically right/wrong?

I am renovating a 200 year old house which has low (around 2100mm) ceilings upstairs and down. My architect is passionate about using a 7" torus or oggee but my missus likes a plain 4" bullnose (our architect is horrified at this). All will be white painted.

Anyone else have a view? Is it just down to personal preference or are some things in a 200 year old character property just not the done thing?

Any other ideas on style/size would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Alan

Alan,

Not sure if torus would be politcally correct for the age/style of your house but plain bullnose sounds like a big no to me.

Compromise and use 5" oggee
