Book shelves in a corner

I want to build some book shelves around a corner of my sitting room. Both sides of the corner will be around 90cm and both walls are masonary walls. The height of the unit will be about 2.5m
I'm just wondering how best to consruct and support the shelves, should they be all one piece of timber going around the corner? How do I provide additional support half way around? Or are 3 separate units the way forward - 1 on each side and a free standing one at an angle across the corner?
Any suggestions welcome
