Re-fitting Stair Spindles

I have removed the old spindles and handrail to be sent away and dipped and now they are back I cannot seem to re-fit them without some not fitting!! They all seemed to be the same size when I took them out but whatever sequence I re-fit them makes it virtually impossible to attach the handrail to them. Help!!

Im not sure whether wood expands slightly when you dip them in chemicals?

I guess I should have somehow numbered the spindles to be put back in order, is there any tips people can give to get them to fit back?

Thank You![/b]

Jamied,
Timber will have swelled during dipping, you will have to wait until wood has dried out and shrunk again.

I would go with the above info, stack them in a corner out the way at room temperature, give each spindle all round ventilation.
