Hi..
After having a room decorated..I have just discovered that the upvc door (with a wood grain finish) has been painted with white gloss..
Any advice please ?
Many thanks...

are you sure it's a upvc door? not commonly used internally. i suspect that it's an engineered door (probably hollow) with a textured board. they can be sanded and painted.
if it IS upvc then it should not be too much of a problem to gently scrape it off once the gloss is fully dry (assuming it was a solvent based paint) which might take several weeks. in fact it will probably start peeling of it's own accord. avoid paint stripping chemicals as they will damage the pvc.

Yes..it is a upvc door..(had them installed to save painting.. )
I will ask if it was a solvent based gloss first ..the laddie that did it didn't realise it was upvc..
Thanks for the tip re the wurth product..I'll check it out..
Thank goodness I didn't ask him to paint both sides of all 8 doors !..
