I'm looking at replacing my kitchen unit doors. The carcasses are still ok but the doors are a little tired looking. However I looked at a supplier who has the off the shelf and ready to go, but there is a difference between existing and new doors. The new are 475mm centres between fittings and the old are 440 between centres. Has anyone any experience of this problem and any pitfalls or advice would be gratefully received.

bazza390,
You are going to have to fit the hinge plates at the new centres.

I would say your time would be better spent researching a compatible door first as many of the suppliers of kitchen units are born from the same factory site but with a different trade name. Lifes too short for carrying out relocating hinges etc
