I just built a wood door with a large satined glass panel to go between my kitchen and pantry. There is a 1/4 inch difference in height between the right and left side of the door jamb [floor slope after 57 years]. I would rather not recut the door on an angle. Should I take out the doorframe and reduce the higher side by 1/4 inch [making it a 'square' opening]? Suggestions as to the correct way to 'square' this doorway are very welcome.
Thank you, in advance, for your time,
Gerry

selfindulgance,
1. chisel off 1/4" on the shorter side.
2. fit a wedged shaped piece of wood to correct the difference.
3. removing and refitting the frame not advised

i would cut the diffrence of the bottom then wedge the top down and level the top to match the other side you may well have to cut or pull out the
