I need to cut down some high-gloss kitchen unit doors. What would be the best way/tools to do this with to achieve a good finish, please?

Tom1945,
Routering the doors is the only way you will avoid chipping the gloss finish.

very recently had to do this in my own kitchen - tried with a circular power saw first with blade cutting into finish, not out of to avoid splitting. had inconsistent successes.
i found that a router was the only satisfactory method.
