I have a wormy foreign letter-rack

I wondered whether I could kill the worm by using my microwave oven? I don’t want them to mutate into something fiercer. Seriously, as I hate using poisons, I wondered whether I could zap them and for how long, without melting the glued sides?

Sueboland,
Interesting idea, you will need to make sure there are no metal fixings including concealed ones. Then try 5 sec blasts at a time, check the wood temperature after each blast.
end
