We too have just fitted white oak internal doors. I have used a product called OSMO Polyx-Oil which is a natural hardwax-oil. For a matt finish use 3062 Clear Matt. You will need to use a minimum of two coats. The first will make the wood feel quite rough and grainy. Give a very gentle rub down with a very fine grade sponge sander, remove excess dust and give a second coat. The results are beautiful with no shine and the grain of the wood is revealed to full effect. I am very pleased with the results. Hope this helps. KRs Theresa
