Replacement External Door

I need to replace a modern but rotten back door but the standard 838mm width is 7mm too small. The existing is 845mm x 1962mm - there is already the usual 2-3mm gaps all round (I assume the standard length of 1981mm can be cut down without problems).
Any suggestions? I do not really want to replace the frame if I can help it.

This seems a lot to cut of the new door i would recomend you replace the frame, This is not hard to do, if you have the right tools you can have the job done in 2 hours.

buy a length of timber, and have it planed to the thickness you require. And then glue and nail it to the door.
