Hi

How difficult would it be to make a couple 1 metre lengths of skirting?

I need to replace some skirting in a 1930s house.

I've been quoted about 200 pounds for it to be manufactured, so was thinking if I bought a good router it might be possible to make it mylsef.

It's a simple ovolo style, unfortuntely is'd just a different size to the stuff you can buy in the shops

Cheers

Hi mister G, I would really, really, really recommened finding a local timer merchant as apose to shopping for new skirting in local shops. By local shops id assume you mean B&Q, WICKES etc?.....check out your yellow pages or goggle search. Ive recently renovated a house, inthe most part the expensive way, by buying a lot of things i needed from B&Q. Then I discovered my local timber merchants!...who were great at meeting any of my skirting requests at a far, far, far better price and also a more extensive range. Hope this helps.

Just thought as well, you may find it cheaper to replace all of the skirting you need rather than try to get replacement pieces.
