tricky floorboard replacement problem

by diyconfused » Sun Aug 26, 2012 2:59 pm

Hello,

I have been scratching my head about how to replace some floorboards that came up when the plumber laid some pipes. Picture attached. First problem is that the pipes run through the joists exactly where I would have screwed my floorboard. I can't figure out where I could attach a batten to screw the board.

Second problem is that there is no joist accessible at the end of the floorboards (top of the picture) - so how can I secure the floorboards here?

Can anyone suggest a solution?

Thanks!!
