How do I Build a Solid Sports Podium for a Sporting Event?

Hi

I have very basic DIY skills and I am looking to build a 1st/2nd/3rd place podium for sports events. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

make a timber frame with 4x2 and then cover it with plywood
