Router Tables Similar to Trend Router Tables That Will Take Different Makes and Models?

My son in law worked several years as employee, and has been self employed in property maintenance for a few years and is on two well known property agents lists. I have limited budget seen one Trend Mk3 craftpro priced £216 inc vat, a quite impressive list of functions but only takes Trend routers and is pushed over my budget because of the VAT.
Any suggestions to what table to buy that will take more than one make router that give same/similar operations as the Trend table. ( he has a Makita and I have a Wickes professional)
