Hi, I'm planning a couple of carpentry projects and my current tools aren't up to scratch. I was hoping for some advice before I build spend some cash on new ones.

The projects include a built-in corner storage bench, a table and benchs, and a small extension of the kitchen worktop (wooden) to accommodate a new freezer.

I'm planning to buy a circular saw, jigsaw, router, corded drill and folding work bench. My budget is £500-800 for the lot. I don't need anything too fancy, but I want them to last me.

I'm a hobby/diy carpenter. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Most useful purchase - a good quality 'Track Saw', one that will cut to a minimum depth of 65mm. That purchase will probably take 50% of your buget but never regret it.

Then a cordless drill / driver.(or 2)

A router - if you are not use to using one then a light weight one to get use to using one. If you are used to a router then a 1/2inch which will suit cutting worktop.

If you have bought one cordless drill and still have some budget then buy a kit of 10v drill and impact driver. (e.g. http://www.screwfix.com/p/erbauer-erp40 ... /30467#_=p)

A multi-tool.
