garage door mechanism

a friend has trouble with garage door mechanism or pulleys.
single door, metal, canopy type, spring above door, may be Henderson but not known.
Cable on one side slack or off pulley wheel or cone making it difficult to open.

Can anyone help please

Hi. Not really my field, but it sounds to me like the door and/or frame is twisted somewhere.

A tape measure and a level should identify the problem nicely.

IF ITS A CABLE ON TWO CONES AT EACH SIDE WHAT YOU DO IS TAKE THE TENSION OFF AND WIND THE CABLE TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE CONE ON BOTH SIDES
THEN PUT THE TENSION BACK ON PULLING THE CABLE TIGHT
ADJUSTING THE TENSION ON SPRING
THAT WILL STRAIGHTEN UP THE DOOR
LET ME KNOW IF THAT SOLVES IT
