Do I need to break the plywood for this? Kitchens, doors, rails, stud, tables, chairs, stair cases, garden furniture etc... Find answers and ask questions here!

So I am going to replacing this air conditioner with a new one and some of the people are saying that I would have to break the plywood to fit the wires connecting the compressor and the Air Conditioner. I just wanted to know if there is another way I could install the new AC without breaking the plywood. If this is the wrong section, please let me know, I will post it in another section.
