Bathroom floor joist re-enforcement advice

Hi,

We are having our bathroom re-done and were told the floor will need to be re-enforced to support the weight of the tiles, that was advised after they cut notches that were half of the depth of the existing joists.

This is their current solution to re-enforce our damaged/weak joists.

This doesn't seem to give much support at all but I am not expert.

Any help would be so much more appreciated, thanks!

Hi fr2uk
Not a long term solution that will last because the posts are set direct on the sub-floor and the ends will rot. Bolting reinforcing joists underneath the existing ones is the cheapest solution but they could build another sleeper wall to support the notched joists.
