Wood worktop damage

I have just installed oak worktops in my kitchen. Someone left a pool of tea on the surface of this worktop overnight leaving a visible stain. The wood had swelled, but has now returned to normal - leaving a bleached looking stain. I have tried sanding and re-oiling, but this has had no effect on the bleached look. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do? - I'm gutted - it was brand new.

(I'm so angry with this person it isn't true.)

At the bottom of the mitering a worktop project there are some colouring agents. Its possible to mix two or three of these to get a match, then rub it on lightly with a rag.
