Wardrobe fix help needed after dismantling to redecorate!

I have a large wardrobe in my room that I took down to paint the wall behind it. One of the side boards has snapped off and i need to attach it back on. Its a heavy piece of wood so I was thinking drill heavy screws into it to reattach it?

Also I need to add some metal wire to the back to stop it from leaning over into a parallelogram shape. I have the back boards but they are crap and im anxious on them failing again (as they popped out shortly after it was fitted)

I have added some pictures and if you imagine the wardrobe has been tilted over onto its front.

Hi lface123
Yes use screws to refit the corners but they will need to be something of the 4x70 size or you will split the chipboard.
Stabilise the wardrobe by using angle brackets screwed into the wall and into the side of the wardrobe.

Thank you for the reply, so 4x70mm screws. Is this because the longer and thinner the better for wood so it doesn’t split?

And also, I want to avoid using wall brackets at all costs, is there any other way apart from screwing it into the wall?
