Do I need to shure up these joists?

Hello knowledgeable people,

A few years ago we took down a supporting wall in our flat and now we are stud walling part of it to add sliding doors.

Had a quick look under the floorboards where the baseplate for the stud wall will go and the joists are both offset and disconnected where they were under the old wall.

On a hand test they are sturdy and have no movement but would you try and connect them together to increase their strength?

Hi dodger2303,
If your stud wall is going to be where your supporting wall was, there is little benefit in reinforcing the joists. If the stud wall will be more than 50mm away from the original line you may have to carry out reinforcing works.
