Hi all,

Am just beginning prep for my new kitchen, but the end wall is a long way from being square so to avoid a major optical illusion was going to put in a stud wall to remedy it.

Will this be strong enough to hold part of the corner kitchen units or anything else like that???

Obviously I will secure them to the studs and/ or noggins.

Is this a sensible idea??

Hi,
Use 4x2 timber @ 400mm centres. Put a 4 inch noggin at cabinet bracket height to carry cabinet's. Also fix noggins, 2 per 400mm gap. Fix head and sole plates to ceiling and floor joists, and end studs to walls.
Will be fine :)
