i have a curved bay window and need to fit new skirting board.how do i go about this? is it short lengths, small cuts on the back of the board or simply trying to bend it and hoping it doesn,t split?

depends on the curve of the bay,but have a try at cuts to the back, the more the better.this does not allways work thougth.another way to do it is if you have a 5 sided bay fix the skirting in 5 pieces to line up with the panes of the bay.you will not get it back to the plaster and so will have to make up the differance with more plaster.
