Sludge removers

If you've drained the central heating system, then add a sludge remover into the header tank as you're refilling the system, won't some of it get into the hot water system and come out of the hot taps?

No, you need to add it to the F&E tank for the central heating. Not the header tank - this supplies water to the cylinder for hot water.

I've got a gas central heating system with a back boiler, in the loft is a hot water tank, above that is the header tank
