OIL HEATING FOR A CARAVAN/STATIC HOME

Can anyone tell me how an oil central heating sysytem works.
I am planning to buy a static home in a caravan park and i hear i can have a central heating system installed, apparently this involves an oil storage tank located outside and also a combi boiler which is also located outside?
How does this system work, i would have thought the combi would be located inside?
