Boiler problems no hot water or heating

Hi,
I have a back boiler with timers and a cylinder tank upstairs. I am having problems with it, firslty I put heating on constant for a few days and some how the hot water stopped working! I tried turning heating off and have only water on but that has not helped. I have checked the boiler pilot light which seems to be on, and the valves are working as they are making clicking noises when I change from constant to timed etc. And now I have put heating back on that does not seem to be working so I now have neither hot water or heating.
Any ideas would be really great.
