I have a Protherm 80e combi, I have an F1 error code showing
(ie no flame) , i have checked the pump OK, cleaned out the water heat exchanger, replaced the 'bottle' air trap, checked the airflow sensor ok,
tested the micro switches ok, do you have any ideas ???? could it be
the gas valve control box??

ps..

when boiler is turned the pump starts, then after around 5 seconds the fan starts, this runs for approx 10-12 seconds then stops, the lcd shows
'F1' fault , after about 30 seconds the pump turns off ??????

thanks in anticipation

Check air pressure switch. Does the fan speed seem about right ?

If the connection in the air pressure switch is not made - the sequence cannot go any further - and the boiler will go to lockout.

Still getting an error, now I am getting an F0 fault (low flow).
I have replaced the pump and bled the system again. the pump
seems to be getting quite hot possibly overheating and cutting
out, if i remove the flow sensor and press the micro switch in the F0
warning goes out, after a while the pump re-starts ,could this be the diapragm faulty. any ideas????
