some radiators boiling, others very cold?

Hi,
all my upstairs radiators work and are boiling, all my downstairs are freezing
anybody have any ideas?
I have bled all my radiators
I have a plumber coming this week, but as a single female don't want him to get me into unneccesairy work done...

A simple check would be to shut off all upstair rediators and see if the downstairs rad heat up. Failing that, assuming the system is air free, the installation pipework would have to be checked. Your plumber should prove there are no air locks and check system is balanced to ensure an even distribution of heat.

hi cynthia , seems your pump is not working and with " no circulation ! the hot water rises and leaves your ground floor radiators cold ! best of luck with your plumber !

Check pump, a tap on the pump body may free it, or remove screw and try to get impeller going - if that fails then a new pump is required.
