NEW BOILER IN GARAGE??

I am considering fitting a new replacement oil fired boiler in my garage. Currently its in the kitchen and we could do with the extra space, and generally oil boilers seems noisy. Do current building regs allow this using a balanced flue say through the garage side wall or up through the roof? Is planning permission required?

Thanks,

Ian

Hi Ian,

I haven't worked on any oil boilers, but I believe the regs apply same to any.
So yes you can put a boiler in a garage as long as you follow the MIs for distances from openings, other flues etc.
