Boiler ventilation

I have a floor standing Baxi 601 C/H boiler located in the utility room.

I have been told the room is not properly ventilated, the air brick is at the wrong height.

Can anyone tell me what the legal/safety requirements are regarding the type and location of ventilation. Is it just the height that matters, does it have to be within a certain distance from the boiler.

Hi N.O.C.,

The vent should be about 100cm2 min. The height shouldn't be much of a problem - what height is it?

Hi Steve
It is currently about 70 cm from the floor. I was told it should be near the ceiling or just above the skirting board.
