Rayburn Gas Ranger

New boiler installed to Rayburn - supplies hot water and central heating (gas fired). Making loud boiling vibration noises and water not as hot as would expect given time system has been operating. Could this be an air lock and if so is it something I could rectify myself?
If not an airlock, do I need the Rayburn engineers who installed boiler, or do I need plumbers who dealt with all pipework external to Rayburn (apparently Rayburn engineers could not do boiler AND pipework)?
Any advice very welcome. Thanks.
