Room stat is one needed with TRVs

Hi am having a completely new heating system fitted and we are having TRV on all radiators the boiler will be a worcester bosch 27cdi so is it necasery to put in a room stat because with the old system we just turned it to full and let the TRVs do the work

TRV's cannot be used to control the heating entirely as they only approximately control the flow of water through the radiator. A room stat is a necessity to ensure the boiler doesn't continue heating the water when the rooms are up to temperature.
Another point one radiator must be left without a TRV to act as a bypass.
I would strongly recommend fitting a programmable stat which will efficiently control the heating 24/7.

Yes, if you want the CORGI installation certificate. As regulations state there should be a room stat fitted on all new installations.

As Htg,and the rad nearest the stat should not have a TRV on it also.
