Hi guys,

I have £3000 including the value of my wife's ford KA to put into a van, I just can't decide what to go for.

Peugeot Partnet with 59k on it
Fiat dobolo with 48k on it
ford connect with 42k on it

all are around £2500 - £3000

advice or comments would be great!

Hi,

Are they big enough ie pipe, rads, scrap etc.?

If they are then yes sound about right, I would go for the connect- parts cheaper.

cheers steve I was thinking that myself.

i've got a 3m pipe holder for the roof anyways so i'd imagine the connect will do the trick.

If the rest of you guys have any suggestions please let me know, the D day is on saturday!

regards,

AH.

Connect - I drive a citroen berlingo, have had a Connect a few times when mine's been in for repair etc they are really comfortable to drive and have loads of space .

that's probably sealed the deal then!

now i've got to weed my way through the TDDi / TDCi trauma!

after a quick google search it appears that a TDCi is much better... whatever than means!

Cheers fellas!

We have had 5 Connects. The TDCi is better, all use a lot of fuel.

Weak spots are front tyres on 90hp and 115hp, central locking fails on side door and new part is £170 if you DIY, and the clutches on the early ones can fail at around the mileage you are looking at.

I have a white one for sale in Surrey, FSH if you are interested. Pipe tube and ladder skate on the roof, BriStor racking inside, owned by us from new. Think it's an 03.

simon, cheers for the offer.

I ended up buying one yesterday from a local chap (leeds) and it is smashing! Although it doesn;t have a roof rack so i'll have to invest!

My first impressions of this vehicle... class. it's the T220 LX (i.e to a high spec, for a ford) and im loving the air con, even if it is winter! space good in the back but the bulk head has meant I WILL need to get a roof rack.

Great pull in third! I'm happy!
