My sister has a combo boiler installed in a cupboard under the stairs. when she had ait serviced recently the service enginer put a warning sign on it. Saying it is a offence to intstall a item that endangers a person or property. Does any one know the regulations on this is allowed under the stairs and if so what are the regulations that govern the instalation it has been there for 10 years. thanks

I would take it the Combo you refer to is combination boiler as in combi. Most combi boilers are room sealed and do not constitute a risk if properly installed to manufacturers specifications. However if the boiler is not of the room sealed type and is an open flued type then the rules change big style regarding the ventilation, fluing, location etc,

More information regarding the boiler type would help.
