Combi boiler problem

Hi there, I've got a Ikon 23T combi boiler and recently it's started to play up. When i first put the heating on the boiler gets the rads up to temparture but then the flame constantly goes out then lights up straight away. All you can hear from the kitchen is a whoosh type sound every few seconds constantly as it keeps lighting up then going out. This also effects the water from the tap which comes out the shower boiling hot then luke warm every few seconds.
does this sound like my boilers knackered or is it a small fix.
