fitting central heating system myself (except boiler)

Hi,

I'm thinking of fitting a central heating system myself (twin pipe) and running it on off a combi condensing boiler.

I'm a competent DIYer, am a qualified electrician.

Generally are plumbers happy with this ? if i present the heating and hot water pipes in the location of the boiler, or could i go as far as connecting all pipe work up except the gas?

the location of the boiler is going to be in the airing cupboard and will be replacing a old hot water cylinder.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi,

From discussions over the years- more RGI's are happier hanging the boiler, flue and gas piping.
Fewer will just connect gas and commision- perhaps its a money thing!!

Find a tame RGI and stick with what he/she says (PC  )

Hi,

Thanks for the info, will leave the boiler hanging and connecting for the plumber then.
